These awards recognise the hard work, dedication and excellence across Product Design and Technology, Visual Communication Design, Studio Arts and Media.
The principal’s award - ACQUISITION
The Principal’s Art & Design Award is awarded to a student, whose work is personally selected by our school principal. The award is in recognition of a student’s dedication to Art & Design in their final year of schooling. The work will demonstrate exceptional skills, conceptual qualities and will be student directed.

RANDAL MARSH AWARD
The Randal Marsh Art & Design Awards were initiated with the support of Randal in 2005 to annually recognise Ivanhoe Grammar School students’ creative achievements at both The Ridgeway and Plenty Campus’.

Parin's winning Visual Communication Design. This proposal for a rebranding of the City of Plenty's garbage and recycling infrastructure was selected for it's readiness and potential to be utilised in real-world settings.

Allegra's winning painting 'Distorted Elegance' Oil and Acrylic on Linen. This figurative piece explores themes of body image and female autonomy.

A visual Communication Design project, Thomas's winning piece was a branding proposal for a cosy record store and coffee shop imagined for Collins Street in Melbourne CBD
Old Ivanhoe Grammarians’ Association ENCOURAGEMENT Award
The OIGA Encouragement Award in the Visual Arts is awarded to a student who is in Years 10 or 11. The recipient has made a large contribution to the Visual Arts Programme, which may include undertaking several art & design subjects. The student intends to undertake subjects in the arts in their final years at IGS.

Old Ivanhoe Grammarians’ Association Media Award
The Year 12 Old Ivanhoe Grammarians Media prize is to be awarded to an outstanding Year 12 Media work. The key criteria for this award include a high level of innovation and technical competence.

Centenary Award for Product Design and Technology
A perpetual award established in 2016 for a senior student whose work has demonstrated an outstanding example in Product Design and Technology.

Charlie Taylor
Charlie's winning piece was a prototype for a cooking set-up designed to sit in the back of a vehicle. It transforms from a compact wooden box to a standing-height wooden kitchen bench.
Excellence and Encouragement awards
Excellence and encouragement awards are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding skill in the arts and dedication to their creative learning across Studio and Visual Arts, Media, Product Design and Technology, and Visual Communication Design.
