Artist Books Nicholas Jones Workshop
The Artist Nicholas Jones came to work with the year 10 students and ran a workshop discussing his art practice, demonstrating the materials and techniques he uses to create his Book Sculptures. After observing Nicholas Jones’s skills, students created their own book sculptures with books they had sourced from secondhand shops. They applied the techniques of folding and cutting the pages, carving and manipulating the books to transform them into artwork.
Additionally, students learnt dry point etching and wood block printing which they applied in the creation of their own artist book.
