Unit 4 Art Making and Exhibiting
This piece encapsulate my mother’s shed, the space where she creates her artwork and the chaos that comes with her creative process. I wanted to show how something so visually pleasing can look like behind the scenes, how a disordered, cluttered space can still be beautiful in a different, raw and honest way. I used a mix of black and white with spot colour to draw the viewer’s eye to certain parts of each photo, areas I felt stood out or told the story of the shed more clearly. By using both, I aimed to highlight how beauty and disorder can exist together, showing that the creative journey is just as meaningful and expressive as the final result. (Which my mother has received several awards for.)
