Unit 3 and 4 Visual Communication Design
SAT Folio and final presentations
My client, Joanne Di Vita, is an accomplished fashion designer and bridal stylist with over 12 years of experience in the wedding industry. After working in prestigious bridal boutiques across Italy and Australia, Joanne is opening her own luxury bridal boutique to bring her vision of elegance, individuality, and romance to life. The boutique will offer a curated collection of bridal gowns, bespoke fittings, and exclusive beauty services such as hair and makeup styling. Joanne’s goal is to create a sophisticated and welcoming environment where each bride feels celebrated, confident, and special from the moment they enter. My design project focuses on developing a refined visual identity and a shop interior and exterior concept that embody her brand values of elegance, timelessness, and exclusivity.
Communication Need 1: The client requires a visual identity and branding system for the bridal boutique. This includes the design of a sophisticated and timeless logo, elegant typography, a cohesive colour palette, and refined materials that reflect the boutique’s luxurious aesthetic. The branding will be applied across various touchpoints including signage, packaging, social media, and promotional materials, ensuring a consistent and recognisable brand presence that stands apart from competitors.
Communication Need 2: The client requires a shop exterior and interior design concept that enhances the overall bridal shopping experience. This includes the development of a spatial layout with private fitting areas, a welcoming reception, and a comfortable guest lounge. The design should visually communicate the boutique’s elegance and exclusivity through the use of soft neutral tones, luxurious materials, natural lighting, and thoughtful detailing that create an intimate and immersive environment.
