HopSpot: Bunny Central
Unit 3 and 4 Visual Communication Design
SAT Folio and final presentations
Bunny Central is a purpose-designed rabbit daycare and boarding facility that blends ethical animal care with warm, sustainable design. The project explores how spatial planning and visual identity can work together to build trust and comfort for both pets and owners.
The architectural design focuses on calm, light-filled environments that promote rabbit wellbeing, with natural materials, open enclosures, and functional customer spaces. Complementing this, the brand identity uses gentle pastels, soft forms, and clean typography to express warmth, professionalism, and care.
Together, these designs position Bunny Central as a modern, compassionate business, redefining small animal care through design that feels safe, sustainable, and sincere
Communication Need 1: My client needs a thoughtfully designed physical environment that caters to the wellbeing of rabbits and provides a safe, enriching space for both daycare and extended stays. This environment must reflect the unique needs of rabbits by including calm, secure areas for rest, open spaces for movement and natural behaviors, and functional zones for customer interaction such as reception, waiting areas, and product displays. They need this to ensure that both rabbits and their owners feel confident and comfortable using the service, and to support the business in standing out as a professional, ethical, and trustworthy provider of rabbit care. A well-designed venue will also help communicate the brand’s values (animal welfare, sustainability, and quality care) through its layout, flow, materials, and aesthetic.
Communication Need 2: Bunny Central needs a new visual identity because they are a brand-new business entering the pet care industry. As a bunny-focused daycare, they want to stand out from traditional doggy daycares and connect with bunny owners in a fun, trustworthy, and memorable way. A strong visual identity will help them build brand recognition and communicate their values, such as animal welfare, professional care, and a playful, welcoming atmosphere. This identity will set the tone for all future branding and marketing.
