The Bicycle trailer was designed with a number of goals in mind. The primary goal of the project was to be able to carry young children or an extra adult from point A - B. The secondary goal of the project was to be able to carry heavy cargo one may find themselves needing to transport. I came up with the design after seeing an opportunity in the growing number of people who are biking their children to school. I saw that these parents were taking their kids to school on a specialised bike that could cost anywhere from about $3000 - $6000. This inspired me to create a product which could serve the same purpose as these specialised bikes while also being able to be used on any bike which a parent already owns.
